In addition, each case is topped with an old-fashioned acrylic crystal. The dials were originally silver or gilt, usually depending on the finish of the case. However, as production continued over the decades, new dial colors became available. Each dial is signed with the Rolex Oyster Perpetual, official Super Chronometer certification, and has a choice of hands depending on the year of production.
